Coaching Policies

Scheduling

Coaching sessions are scheduled in advance at mutually agreed-upon times.

Payment

Payment is required before the start of your coaching program.

Flexible payment plans are available for all multi-week coaching packages.

The Parent Pause Intensive is paid in full at the time of booking.

Rescheduling

Life happens.

If you need to reschedule a session, please provide at least 24 hours' notice whenever possible.

Sessions canceled with adequate notice will be rescheduled based on availability.

Late Cancellations

Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee unless due to illness or an emergency.

Missed Appointments

Missed appointments without notice are considered forfeited and are not eligible for reimbursement or rescheduling.

Coaching Commitment

Meaningful change happens through consistency.

Coaching works best when parents actively participate, practice strategies between sessions, and remain engaged throughout the coaching process.

Email Support

Multi-week coaching programs include email support between scheduled sessions for questions related to current coaching goals.

Responses are typically provided within 1–2 business days.

Email support is intended for coaching guidance and is not designed for crisis or emergency situations.

Scope of Coaching

Parent coaching is educational in nature and does not replace medical care, psychological services, occupational therapy, speech therapy, legal advice, or crisis intervention.

If concerns arise that fall outside the scope of coaching, I may recommend seeking additional support from an appropriate professional.

Confidentiality

Your family's privacy is important to me.

Information shared during coaching sessions will remain confidential except when disclosure is required by law or when there is concern for the safety of a child or another individual.

Respectful Partnership

Parent coaching is a collaborative relationship built on mutual respect, honesty, and open communication.

Together we'll celebrate successes, work through challenges, and create strategies that align with your family's values and goals.

Disclaimer

Parent coaching is an educational and collaborative service designed to provide parents with knowledge, practical strategies, and support in applying evidence-based parenting approaches.

While my background includes over 20 years of experience as a New York State Certified Special Education Teacher, Early Intervention provider, Certified Positive Discipline Educator, and Certified Jai Parent Coach, parent coaching is not therapy, counseling, psychological treatment, medical care, legal advice, or crisis intervention.

Coaching does not diagnose or treat medical, developmental, behavioral, or mental health conditions, nor does it replace services provided by physicians, psychologists, licensed mental health professionals, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, or other healthcare providers.

Parents remain responsible for all decisions regarding their child and family. Coaching recommendations are intended to support informed decision-making and should be used in conjunction with your own judgment and, when appropriate, the guidance of your child's healthcare or educational professionals.

If concerns arise that fall outside the scope of parent coaching, I may recommend seeking additional evaluation or services from an appropriate licensed professional.

Participation in parent coaching does not establish a therapeutic, medical, educational, or legal provider-client relationship.

The information provided through Connections Parent Coaching is for educational purposes only and is not intended to replace medical, psychological, therapeutic, or legal advice.
